The dinner was so special, prepared by Mak Chom as usual, the best cook i ever known in Jatt family. Price & Services MAtters - You have a choice then....

Last few week, i experience bleeding again, but this time fresh blood after morning urine. Rushing to hospital, after check here and there, until i feel pain like crazy, then they send me home without any medication or any conclusion. huh!!!!....i feel so worry...asking doctor this and that.... she just say something i really dunt think so its the answer....but bcoz she is the doctor, i have no argument....else heading home with full of question mark, and later checking online for possibilities and answers.......to compare 1st time i was admitted in hospital during my 5 mths of pregnancy, this time was more blood and very fresh...but no action taken....the doctor ask me to come again after a week....then the next week visit also is nothing....and met other doctor who has know nothing abt my pregnancy history...she keep asking me the condition while she can read in my file all the history....i was so angry (plus i have to wait few hours, register at 7.30am and was called to meet the doctor at 10.00am....so long wait, but only take me 5 minutes of check up?...haiyooo)..but still i try to be nice...telling her what the doctor said and what I can remember about my last check up. She said all the things tat i told her not in my files and she dunt think so .....What???!!! i am so angry, she just touch my tummy here n there, not even scan or what...then she said....

"ok lah u can go home, n meet me other 4 weeks" ...

What??? so who gonna explain my problem now? Why I am bleeding? I asked the doc again...then she said she dunt know y? (Then she must take a future action to check properly....where she dunt even care to do so)

I am heading home again with full of question mark and feeling really upset with general hospital service...but as far as i can see, there is more than 100 pregnant ladies from various races waiting to get check...so no wonder the service like that....general hospital....what more to complain about... and some more i only paid RM5 per visit ....last time I was check at Details Scan unit , Daily Care Department and it was different service...errmmmm, to comfort myself, both Jatt & I thinking to get second opinion from the private hospital...

But what if the hospital can give an option to the public...if the public have money to pay...they can get specialist- of coz with extra money paid....but at same hospital, or if they cant afford, they can pay RM5 and get that service....do you think it is much better than we left with no option then?

I am left with lotssss more questions and suggestion....

Pregnancy Update - Week 33

hello all.....hows life for you? Challenging? Tiring? Bz? Happy? Dissatisfied ? Well its all the ingredients thats make life so great and so pain....but at the end of the day we still wake up next morning with same routine.....continue this day life......

Just quick update abt my pregnancy progress....for those who wonder where were liltle baby and I end up to?

ME
- Has booked the hospital near my house are for the delivery, its a affordable private hospital with all the facilities; esp for the O&G. Recommended by a fren who recently delivered a lil baby gurl.
- since last month, i had experience few series of bleeding again , where i end up rushing to HKL and return home with no action taken or any information that at least make me breath easy. Hrrrmmmmm.... what so much to complain about when doctor said I am OK. May be i can write other entry about that few series of the visit to HKL
- I am happy that the new specialist, Doctor L, has been so informative and know what she is doing to me, upon my last two visit. She gave me really clear information and also good advice. For the 1st time, i feel OK about doctors information about my pregnancy. May be that the results you get when you pay at the private hospital
- Doctor L told me that my bleeding is not from the fetus problem or baby itself. it all about local bleeding- which is medical term that explain nothing to do with the baby- he is safe in his nest now. So now its all me that caused me bleeding every now and then....had a problem with inflammation at the cervix ....but under control....hhrrmmmm what else i want to say, Thanks God its not my baby......
- Gone thru the CTG for Lil Iman - coz last 2 days there is bleeding and Lil Iman move less....so worry about his condition, we gone thru the procedure. Alhamdulillah....he was ok and mum also OK
- The doctor has give me the pill- which to control my contraction. So i shud hold this lil baby here till at least 36th week and have safe delivery. Even now safe for me to have the labor, but the doc advice to wait a lil bit more...hehheheheh be patient Iman.....
- I am now 57kg....maybe by the time i am writing here, i am now 59kg...hehehhe heavy and hard to move ...even to get up from the seat is quite difficult for me...hehehehe..wondering if i can get back to my normal weight after this? its ok ..many time to think abt it, whats more important is now....
- I am hungry and hungry all the time, but it is sad to deal with my appetite ...i only eat things i want to eat....but to my surprise i really craving for traditional food like 'Malay Traditional Kueh' and fruits. I can eat 1kg of rambutan at one time,...now i am thinking of banana, durian, watermelon and also guava....yummy.....
- i drink a lot now esp Sirap Bandung and Sarsi....crazy me....
- my foot swallow easily whenever i walk or do bit of house chores...even the doctor advice me to have rest- to be more precise rest on the bed almost of the time, i cant do that...tell me if you can just lying all the day....... i also easily feel pain here and there...but to tell the truth its all normal for the pregnant lady..hehheheh at least i have that experience ...precious pain i said...
- I always dream of birth and baby lately...also NORMAL for the mother to be....i am over excited about the 1st cry of my Lil Iman they said....
- All the lil baby things and mine, was ready and now is time to relax and wait for the contraction to come...and deliver safely...
- i am now really need to familiarize myself with all the labor terms such as breathing technique, epidural, episiotomy, forceps, breech, placenta previa, etc - so when the time come i shud understand more and never let the doc simply take action without really understand the things...

IMAN
- last week his weight was 1.8kg already...and the specialist said, it can grow more and reach about 2kg++...hopefully, so i eat more for both of us...
- his head is at the lower position, ready to engage for the labor process
- He is baby boy- CONFIRM again
- Specialist found his bones quite long and maybe he is tall boy later...hehehehe as long he is healthy
- HIS CTG shows that he heartbeat at great pattern and was good even i complaint to the specialist he move less lately- this is due to less space for dancing inside
- If he moved, he kicking hard and i feel fainted. He quite understand esp when JAtt and I talking about him...hrrmmmm sign of intelligent mummy said.

i might be deliver early than expected date, coz the EDD on 3rd September is at 40 week. Doc L said i maybe deliver as early as 36 week which mean around of mid August...hhhrrrnnnnn..not long to go...
Please pray for our safety and healthy....i will having my delivery and confinement here .... its quite challenging but what else to say.....

“Stand Up and Live for Life”
May 25 2007

People living with CML in Malaysia break new ground by organizing a two day workshop for those affected by the disease.

There are few occasions in which one has the privilege to witness social change. Such change was never more evident than the one perceived at the first Malaysia CML workshop. In a 48 hour period, friendships were formed, cultural and language barriers were broken, and an amazing group of people took control of their own lives.

The First Workshop for people living with CML took place in Malacca on April 28 and 29, 2007. It was organized by the core group of the Max Family, the newly formed support group for people living with CML, and co-organized by the Malaysian Society of Haematology and The Max Foundation; sponsored by Novartis Malaysia. The workshop was attended by more than 150 CML survivors and their family members.

The air was warm, everyone was buzzing with excitement, as preparations went on the way. The opening ceremony was lead by Dr. Ng Soo Chin, President of the Malaysian Society of Haematology, followed a presentation by Pat Garcia-Gonzalez, Executive Director of The Max Foundation.

The content was rich and kept participants fully engaged. The thoughtfully planned content was broken into two sessions: a motivational session lead by Mr. Baba Ismail. Mr. Baba is a qualified counselor by profession. He reminded everyone of the value of laughter, the importance of touch and the power of love. The educational session was clear, full, and interesting, carried on by Dr Vijaya Sangkar. Following Dr Sangkar’s lecture, he was joined by 4 of his dedicated colleagues, Dr Leong Chooi Fun, Dr Kok Keng Weng, Dr Teh Hiok Seng and Dr Guan Yong Khee who lead a questions and answer session for small groups of patients in several languages, making the interaction and clarity of discussions superb.

After the CML session came the patient testimonials, reminding all participants that it is possible to turn tragedy into triumph.

The workshop ended in a great note, a cake was brought out to celebrate the 5th year anniversary of the Glivec International Patient Assistance Program, GIPAP. For five consecutive years, this program has provided prescribed Glivec to more than 500 people in the program in Malaysia month after month, patient by patient. Most of the members of the Max Family are also GIPAP recipients. They took the opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude to Novartis.

At the end of the day, it was time to go home. As buses were living one could hear the laughter, the chatter, the clicks of the thousands of photos taken, the hugs and the promise to get together again soon.

For people who attended this unprecedented event, life will never be the same. As we all return to our own duties and busy lives, we will always carry with us the memories of the moment in time where things changed. We are empowered by this energy; and regardless of what life brings in the future, we will never be alone again because we will always have each other.

Also, we bring back with us the essence of the workshop – Power of Love, Power of Support & Power of Knowledge.

The workshop changed things for ever, like a big bang. But every big bang needs a spark; the recipe in this case was the combination of the efforts of several stakeholders:

  • An unprecedented access to treatment initiative by Novartis, who has ensured widespread access to their state of the art treatment for CML, Glivec, through their Glivec International Patient Assistance Program (GIPAP);
  • Blend this with the absolute dedication of The Max Foundation’s team of advocates for whom patients are at the core of their existence. Specifically represented in Malaysia by the most dedicated and caring advocate by the name of Mei Ching;
  • Add to this the Max Family core group, a group of CML survivors themselves who are young, energetic, inspired people that have heard the call to make their lives matter;
  • Sister Tan, an inspirational nurse whose quick smile and endless energy inspires us all;
  • Finally, a group of extremely dedicated physicians who spend their day off sharing their wisdom with others.

  • Put it all together and brace yourself to witness a miracle.

    - The End-

    Just want to thank (thank never been enuff for the great things happened in life) all this "International Family of Max". These people have made their precious time and share the moment with all of us in Malaysia.

    - Pat Garcia Gonzalez- The founder, of The Max Foundation, Seattle
    - Amma Viji & Ayeshah- The Max Foundation Station India (Asia Pacific)

    Update- 1st Wedding Anniversary...

    (Picture taken by Fan on 3rd June @ Ortho Clinic HKL. Fr left Sahimi, I and Jatt - cake cutting for the double celebration. Thanks to all Max Family Core Group for the cake)

    Hello ....
    Just quick update on my 1st wedding anniversary last 2nd June.....where 2 June 2006 we were pronounced as husband and wife...but only the next day we have the reception.....so we consider our anniversary fall on 2nd June.

    Thank God in our heart with what we have and what a 365 days journey showed is the most that hubby and I felt......... that one year is not any measurement for us but all happiness, sadness, up n downs that teach us best experience, process of being a 'person' , a classroom where i personally have improve myself a lot. If people do not notice the changes about it, me personally feel i have changed a lot, under his care, love, guidance, leadership, criticize, frenship...everything.....if only words can tell, it shows that it is not enuff..... no enuff words to tell you how much i felt after all....

    Me myself found that a year with a lovely and cutest creature after 'Real Shrek', JATT, my hubby, i feel wonderful in many ways....as wife, as a women, as a daughter, eldest in family, daughter in law, sister in law, as a fren to other fren, as a person that 'lost' somewhere before....h is everything that i have ...that i shud have and i had......i dunt know how to tell the world how great feeling was for having someone like him beside ...to just stare at his close eyes when he fall asleep at midnight - but too many story i can read from his close eyes, i saw his smile and kindness, to just hug him silently when i feel i am in trouble- but he gimme kinda healing touch that i dunt need the best doctor in the world, just to grab his hand and make sure he is beside - so i know i will never walk alone....

    Dear Hubby,
    i dedicate all my life and death (if one day the time has come)...to you....to share all with you... no one can tell me how bad was you and no one can feel how great was you in taking care of me....

    I just cant imagine how much joy i will have in life for being a wife for more coming years, if only a year i feel great already? I wish all wife i this world shud have someone like him....i am happy wife ....happy person with this marriage...what else to say?

    I pray this marriage will last long as both of us alive.......having old days with each one, watching our Baby Iman growing, having fun of family value together and having more things to do together....with all the wonderful people around us.....

    JATT buy me a great dinner at one of the Thai's restaurant at The Curve on our special nite. Thank so much....i just feel bit empty coz i have nothing to give him by the special day....maybe not now, but i hope he understand that i always present myself as a best gift to him....

    3rd June, we share happy celebration with few important people at Dr. Razak Clinic, Ortho Clinic HKL. Max Family having a meeting there and the really great ppl in our life bring a cake for us.....Yummy....the day we had a full of food...Nasi Lemak, Choc Cake, Cheddar Cheese Cookies and celebration cake. Thank you to Dr Razak, Fan, Sister Tan, Sahimi, Ghandi, Kia Fui, and of coz our Mei Ching.

    And i just want to congrats our bro Sahimi for his hand of marriage to Aein on 2nd June 2007. Sahimi will share the same anniversary date with us by next year. Wish both of them happy marriage forever.

    For those who always pray for me and him, Thank you so much. We pray for you too.....May our life will be easier and happier....always...
